Pakistan anger over cricket chaos
At the fourth cricket test match between England and Pakistan played at the Oval some said it was just not a good day for the sport. It all started when umpire Darrell Hair penalized the Pakistan team five runs. It was said that the ball had been tampered with. As a result the Pakistani side refused to come out of their dressing rooms after the tea-break in protest at the umpire's ruling. The ICC, the sport's governing body, backed the umpire's decision to award England the final test match. The accusation provoked widespread anger in Pakistan. It was the first time in 129 years, and 1,814 matches, that a Test had been conceded by forfeit. This was a day to remember for the sport.
